2008年からレギュラー放送されている人気バラエティー。日本中の驚きの風景を毎回スタッフが取材をしてVTRで紹介する。紹介されるのは、地方のユニークな習慣や暮らしぶり、ご当地グルメ、大自然や秘境の絶景、かわいらしい動物、一風変わった建造物など、家族団らんの話題にぴったりなネタばかり。

Program overview

A popular variety show that has aired regularly since 2008. For each episode, the production team films astonishing scenes all over Japan. The show features unique local customs, ways of life, regional cuisine, breathtaking natural landscapes and remote areas, adorable animals, and quirky buildings, making it a perfect source of topics for family chats.

④こんなシーンに登場！

2021年5月30日(日)に放送された回で登場したのが、「やまびこ荘」の25mプール。一見普通の学校のプールだが、実は温かい源泉が流れ込む温泉プール。「珍百景」認定された。

In an episode that aired on Sunday, May 30, 2021, the featured location was the 25-meter pool at the Yamabiko-so inn. At first glance, it resembles a regular school pool, but it actually has hot spring water flowing into it. The pool was certified as a “Neighborhood Treasure” on the program.

⑤やまびこ荘とは

温泉プールを有する宿泊施設。もともとは廃校になった大沢里小学校で、「建物を残してほしい」と言う地元の声から、宿泊施設に生まれ変わった。当時の面影を残した廊下や教室も魅力的。

About the Yamabiko-so inn

An accommodation facility with a hot spring pool. The facility was originally the now-closed Osouri Elementary School. It was transformed into an accommodation facility because local residents wanted to preserve the building. The hallways and classrooms retain the charms of the past.
